Cadence ("we", "our", or "us") is a strategy execution platform for Shopify merchants. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Shopify application.

2.1 Shopify Store Data (Read Access)

We collect the following data from your Shopify store to provide our Auto-Proof Engine functionality:

• Orders: Order data including revenue, order count, and order dates to track strategic milestones
• Products: Product catalog, variants, and inventory levels to detect product launches and inventory changes
• Customers: Customer count and basic demographics to track customer acquisition metrics
• Analytics: Traffic and conversion data to measure strategic progress
• Inventory: Current inventory levels for strategic inventory management
• Marketing Events: Campaign performance data for marketing strategy tracking

2.2 Shopify Store Data (Write Access)

With your explicit approval, we can perform the following actions in your Shopify store:

• Products: Create product variants and update inventory levels when you approve strategic actions
• Orders: Create draft orders for your review (we never auto-fulfill orders without your approval)
• Discount Codes: Create promotional discount codes based on your strategic goals
• Customer Tags: Tag customers for segmentation based on strategic criteria
• Inventory: Adjust inventory levels when you approve inventory management actions

Important: All write actions require your explicit approval through our approval workflow. We never modify your Shopify store data without showing you a preview and receiving your confirmation.

2.3 Account Information

• Strategic goals and execution plans
• App interaction data

2.5 Meta Ads Data (Optional)

If you connect your Meta (Facebook) Ads account, we collect:

• Ad spend data
• Campaign performance metrics
• ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) calculations

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide Auto-Proof Engine: Automatically validate strategic actions using your real-time Shopify data
• Execute Approved Actions: Perform write operations in your Shopify store only after your explicit approval
• Track Strategic Progress: Monitor execution of your strategic goals and provide insights
• Generate Recommendations: Suggest strategic actions based on your business data and patterns
• Provide Support: Respond to your requests and provide customer support
• Improve Our Service: Analyze usage patterns to enhance functionality (aggregated, anonymized data only)
• Send Re-engagement Communications: Contact you about strategic milestones or product updates (for trial users who maintain integration)

4. Data Retention

• Active Users: We retain your data for as long as you maintain an active Cadence account
• Trial Users: If you complete the trial without subscribing but maintain your Shopify integration, we continue to sync your business metrics to enable intelligent re-engagement. You can disconnect at any time via your Shopify settings.
• After Uninstall: When you uninstall Cadence, we retain data for 48 hours to allow reactivation, then permanently delete all personal data
• Aggregated Data: We may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytical purposes (no personally identifiable information)

5. Your Rights (GDPR Compliance)

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of all data we have about you
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your data
• Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to processing of your data for specific purposes
• Withdraw Consent: Uninstall the app or disconnect integrations at any time

We do not sell your data. We may share data with:

• Shopify: Via their API to provide our service
• Cloud Service Providers: For hosting and infrastructure (Vercel, Railway, etc.)
• Payment Processors: Shopify or Stripe for billing (minimal data required)
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect rights and safety

Cadence is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
